Kevin A. Anderson Joins ERS Board of Trustees

RIVERDALE, Md. — The Employees’ Retirement System (ERS) is pleased to welcome Kevin A. Anderson as a new Board of Trustees member. Mr. Anderson was appointed to the Board following a vote by the Commissioners on the M-NCPPC Prince George’s County Planning Board at a meeting held on September 10, 2026.  

Mr. Anderson currently serves as Chair of the Prince George’s County Planning Board, a position he was appointed to by County Executive Aisha N. Braveboy, confirmed by the Prince George’s County Council, and sworn in on July 27, 2026, for a term expiring June 14, 2029.  

Mr. Anderson brings more than three decades of leadership experience spanning state and local government, economic development, housing, public finance, and the private sector, with a career shaped by a deep understanding of financial stewardship and organizational leadership. Prior to joining the Commission, he served as Secretary of Commerce for the State of Maryland and has held senior leadership roles including Founder and CEO of Cardinal Atlantic Holdings, President and CEO of City First Homes, and CFO and Vice President for Equity Capital at Jair Lynch Companies.  

He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Stanford University and holds professional certifications in economic development, finance, and leadership from John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and the National Development Council.  

The ERS looks forward to Mr. Anderson’s service and leadership as the Board continues its work safeguarding retirement assets to ensure the long-term sustainability of the retirement system for our members and beneficiaries.
